Peshabestown, located at the north end of the township, is the home of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians.

Peshabestown is the proud home of the Strongheart Recreation Center. The Center includes the following outdoor facilities:
1) Baseball and Soccer Fields
2) Basketball Courts
3) Skate Park
4) Volleyball Courts
5) Playgrounds

The magnificent indoor facility designed like a turtle include:
